Privacy Policy for Rotation+

This Privacy Policy explains how SenMetric, LLC ("SenMetric," "we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when users and authorized staff use the Rotation+ mobile app, this website, and related support services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Who This Policy Covers

Rotation+ is designed for professional and operational use. The Service may be used to record profile-based movement measurements, manage session history, and export reports. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization or employer, you are responsible for making sure your use of the Service complies with your organization's policies and applicable laws.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information, such as your email address, display name, and Firebase user identifier when you sign in.
  • Authentication and security data, such as sign-in state and authentication tokens used to keep your session active.
  • Profile and session information entered or generated in the app, such as profile name or identifier, age, notes, movement selections, session date, duration, angle measurements, target status labels, result notes, and angle-history data tied to a session.
  • Device and connectivity information related to supported sensors, such as Bluetooth connection state, sensor name, device identifier fragments, battery status, and signal strength information needed to operate the sensor workflow.
  • App preferences and settings, such as customized range targets and local user preferences.
  • Basic website and technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, and request timestamps that may be received by our website host or content-delivery providers when you load this site.
  • Exported content that you choose to generate, such as CSV or PDF summaries of saved session history.

3. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you when you sign in, edit profile information, enter session details, or save or export a session.
  • Automatically from the app and operating system when the Service stores local records, reads app settings, or manages authentication state.
  • From connected MetaWear hardware when you pair a supported Bluetooth sensor and record movement measurements.
  • From service providers that support authentication or app infrastructure, such as Firebase Authentication.

4. How We Use Information

  • To authenticate users and maintain account access.
  • To connect to supported sensors and run guided measurement sessions.
  • To save, organize, search, and display profile and session history.
  • To generate in-app summaries, target status labels, and report exports.
  • To maintain app security, troubleshoot technical issues, and improve reliability.
  • To respond to support requests, legal obligations, or requests from authorized users.

5. Where Information Is Stored

Based on the current app implementation, Rotation+ stores a significant portion of session and profile information locally on the device using Apple storage technologies, including Core Data, UserDefaults, and Keychain-backed secure storage for certain authentication data.

The app also uses Firebase Authentication to manage user sign-in. Authentication-related information may be processed by Google Firebase as part of providing sign-in and account session functionality. The current app configuration indicates Firebase Analytics is disabled, but you should review your production Firebase configuration before publishing updates.

If you visit this website, standard technical request information may also be processed by the hosting, networking, or third-party content services used to deliver the page and its assets.

6. Bluetooth and Sensor Permissions

Rotation+ requests Bluetooth permissions so it can discover, connect to, and read data from compatible MetaWear sensors. If you deny Bluetooth access, sensor-based measurement features may not work.

You can change Bluetooth and other device permissions at any time in your device settings. Disabling those permissions may limit or stop related app functionality.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information collected through Rotation+.

We do not use profile or session data collected through the app for third-party advertising.

We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With service providers that help us operate the Service, such as Firebase Authentication or website infrastructure providers.
  • When you choose to export or share a report, in which case the export is shared according to the method you select.
  • When required by law, court order, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or security.
  • As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to applicable legal requirements.

8. Data Retention

Session and profile records are generally retained until they are deleted by the user or removed as part of app maintenance or administrative action. The current app includes in-app controls to clear saved data from the local device. Authentication and provider-side records may be retained according to the practices of the relevant authentication provider.

If data is stored only on a particular device, deleting the relevant local records or deleting the app from that device may remove that local copy. Separately exported files, shared reports, or provider-maintained account records may persist until they are deleted under the applicable system or provider workflow.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures intended to protect information processed through the Service. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and relationship to the Service, you may be able to:

  • Access, update, or correct account information.
  • Delete local profile or session records from the app.
  • Sign out and remove locally stored session tokens.
  • Disable Bluetooth or other device permissions through your operating system settings.
  • Request deletion of account-level information that we or our authentication providers maintain on our behalf, subject to verification and legal limits.
  • Request information about the personal information we maintain, subject to applicable law.

11. Do Not Track and Similar Signals

The Service is not designed to track your activity across unaffiliated third-party websites for behavioral advertising purposes. Because of that, we do not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals in any special way.

12. Children's Privacy

Rotation+ is not directed to children for independent use. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through a consumer-facing workflow. Account owners are responsible for handling profile information appropriately when using the Service in their organization.

13. International and Regulated Use

If you use the Service in a regulated operational environment, you are responsible for determining whether additional contractual, compliance, or operational requirements apply to your deployment. This Privacy Policy does not, by itself, create a business associate agreement, data processing agreement, or similar regulated-use commitment.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date on this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the app, website, or other appropriate channels.
